Troubleshooting

Running into an issue? Here are the most common problems and how to fix them.

The calendar or booking form isn’t showing on my page

Check that you’ve added it to your page. The booking calendar won’t appear automatically — you need to add it yourself. You can do this in three ways:

  • Search for the Nemtly Events block in the WordPress block editor and add it to your page
  • Use the Event Calendar widget if you’re using Elementor
  • Add the shortcode [nemtly_calendar] to any page or post

After adding it, save or publish the page, then view it on the front end to confirm it appears.

Customers can’t complete a booking

If customers get stuck at the payment step, the most likely cause is that your Stripe keys haven’t been set up yet, or the wrong keys were entered.

  1. Go to Nemtly Booking > Settings > Payments
  2. Check that your Publishable key and Secret key are filled in
  3. Make sure you’re using live keys (they start with pk_live_ and sk_live_), not test keys, on a live site
  4. Save and try booking again

If the form submits but nothing happens, try clearing your browser cache and reloading the page.

I’m not receiving booking notification emails

First, check your spam or junk folder — notification emails sometimes land there.

If they’re not in spam either:

  1. Go to Nemtly Booking > Settings > Notifications and confirm your admin email address is correct
  2. Make sure email notifications are turned on for the event type
  3. If your site is on a shared host, emails may be unreliable. Consider installing a free plugin like WP Mail SMTP to send emails through Gmail or another provider

An event is showing as fully booked, but it shouldn’t be

  1. Go to Nemtly Booking > Events and open the event
  2. Check the Availability field — make sure the number of spots is set correctly
  3. Go to Nemtly Booking > Bookings and check if any bookings were made in error. You can cancel them to free up spots

A customer was charged but their booking isn’t showing

This can occasionally happen if the customer’s connection dropped after payment but before the confirmation page loaded. To resolve it:

  1. Check your Stripe Dashboard to confirm the payment went through
  2. If it did, go to Nemtly Booking > Bookings > Add New and manually create the booking for that customer
  3. Send them a confirmation email manually from the booking detail page

The plugin stopped working after a WordPress update

  1. Go to Plugins in your WordPress admin and check that Nemtly Booking is still active. Re-activate it if needed
  2. Check for a plugin update — go to Plugins > Installed Plugins and update Nemtly Booking if a new version is available
  3. If the issue persists, try switching temporarily to a default WordPress theme (like Twenty Twenty-Four) to rule out a theme conflict

Still stuck?

If none of the above solved your issue, you can get help from the community on the WordPress support forum. When posting, include a description of what you tried and what happened.
