Accepting Payments

Nemtly Booking uses Stripe to handle payments. Stripe is a trusted payment platform used by millions of businesses worldwide. You’ll need a free Stripe account to start accepting payments.

Step 1: Create a Stripe account

If you don’t have one yet, sign up at stripe.com. It’s free and only takes a few minutes. You’ll need to verify your identity and add your bank account before Stripe can pay you out.

Step 2: Get your API keys

  1. Log in to your Stripe Dashboard
  2. Click Developers in the top-right menu
  3. Click API keys
  4. You’ll see two keys: a Publishable key and a Secret key

Leave this tab open — you’ll need to copy these into your WordPress site.

Step 3: Connect Stripe to your site

  1. In your WordPress admin, go to Nemtly Booking > Settings
  2. Click the Payments tab
  3. Paste your Publishable key and Secret key into the matching fields
  4. Click Save Changes

Step 4: Test a payment

Before going live, it’s worth doing a quick test to make sure everything works.

  1. In your Stripe Dashboard, make sure you’re in Test mode (there’s a toggle in the top bar)
  2. Copy your test keys and paste them into Nemtly Booking > Settings > Payments
  3. Go to your booking page and book a test event using the card number 4242 4242 4242 4242, any future expiry date, and any 3-digit security code
  4. Check that the booking appears in Nemtly Booking > Bookings

Once everything looks good, switch back to your live keys in Stripe and update them in Settings.

Going live

When you’re ready to accept real payments, go back to your Stripe Dashboard, switch to Live mode, copy your live API keys, and paste them into Nemtly Booking > Settings > Payments. That’s it — your site is ready to take bookings and payments.

What cards can my customers use?

Stripe accepts all major credit and debit cards including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and more. Depending on your region, customers may also be able to pay with Apple Pay or Google Pay.

How do I issue a refund?

Go to Nemtly Booking > Bookings, open the booking you want to refund, and click Refund. The money will be returned to the customer within 5–10 business days.
